• McCoy lab present at the 3rd Annual MS Research Network: Remsha and Jen win awards!

The 3rd Annual MS Research Network was held once again at Queen’s University Belfast, organized by Dr. Denise Fitzgerald and colleagues. The symposium showcased findings of many of the leading experts researching on MS in Ireland and UK.

This year our PhD student Remsha Afzal was selected to give a short talk at the event, which she went on to win an award for in the ‘best oral presentation’ category. Her talk focused on the role played by Arginase-2 in macrophage metabolism and its potential implications in EAE.
Moreover, our senior post-doc Jennifer Dowling also won a prize for best poster presentation titled ‘Arginase-2 is essential for mitochondrial associated functions in M2-polarised macrophages’. All in all, it was a very productive day for the lab. Go team!
